My name is Leire and, despite the fact that I came into the world a few years ago, I didn’t really open my eyes until I discovered photography. I studied Journalism and then Sociology, maybe the result of some strange alienation, who knows. But I do not regret; and no, I’m not crazy, at least not to tie. I often say that journalism taught me to ask questions and sociology to understand the answers. Photography came later, and with it I learned to look, but above all, to see. I earn my living from «letter writing», or «pen», as some say, and that, for those of us who in our unconscious youth bet on journalism, is practically a miracle. This blog is a small luxury that I give myself to do two of the things I like the most in the world: write and talk about photography.

Mi nombre es Leire y, pese a que vine al mundo hace ya algunos años, los ojos no los abrí de verdad hasta que descubrí la fotografía. Estudié Periodismo y después Sociología, puede que fruto de alguna extraña enajenación, quién sabe. Pero no me arrepiento; y no, no estoy loca, al menos no de atar. Suelo decir que el periodismo me enseñó a hacer preguntas y la sociología a entender las respuestas. La fotografía llegó más tarde, y con ella aprendí a mirar, pero sobre todo, a ver. Me gano la vida de “juntaletras”, o de “plumilla”, como dicen algunos, y eso, para los que en nuestra inconsciente juventud apostamos por el periodismo, es prácticamente un milagro. Este blog es un pequeño lujo que me doy para hacer dos de las cosas que más me gustan en el mundo: escribir y hablar sobre fotografía.
